One of Desert Dove's core values is to demonstrate true community and a deep passion for justice. In 2015 we reached out to Grijalva Elementary, asking how we could help them. We learned that a pressing problem was providing accessible food to the children and their families. So, Desert Dove, in partnership with The Tucson Community Food Bank and Grijalva Elementary began a food pantry at the school. In addition, in 2019 we began a fresh food giveaway at the church, partnering with Interfaith Community Services. Our goal is to make sure that families have access to healthy food twice a month.
